Incidentally, there are two computer devices, and a special 2nd set of racing handlebars on the frong of my $2500 triathlon bike. There is hardly room for a pretty pink and purple basket. |

| What a strange subject to bring up Rags. What bought this question on? I have no idea what the answer is. Sure hasn't a lot to do with Lasik. | If anybody here has attended medical school or could provide a link to this information, please share some information. Supposedly brain size within a species doesn't affect one's intelligence. That might be because although there is more brain tissue, only a fraction of that tissue is used. In fact, a smaller brain might benefit from the information stored being more densely stored and the brain may operate faster due to the shorter links. Anyway, that is not my question. My question is about skull size relative to brain size. Does a larger skull contain a larger brain? Does the brain tissue essentially grow to fill all available space in the skull? Or is the brain relatively the same size regardless of the skull size, and their is a gap between the surface of the brain and the skull lining. Also, I'm assuming that except for structural differences between races, the thickness of the bone of the skull is relatively the same no matter how large the skull is. |
