Advanced Surface Ablation (ASA) is the term used for all surface
ablation refractive surgery techniques using current technology. This
would include PRK, LASEK, and Epi-LASIK.

It is like saying "Ford" rather than "Taurus", "Ranger", & "Mustang".

both dont require a flap so its more forgiving than lasik. Whats your
pescription and your reasons and expectations for lasek? I am not gonna
stop you, but I can offer advice to help inform you and whatever choice
you make its your own informed one.

Default ASA and Lasek

I've seen several clinics that offer both Advanced Surface Ablation and
Lasek. What is the difference? Sounds pretty much the same in the
descriptions of the methods.
