Do you even read what you post? First sentence, you need to know what is oending from the "credible FDA. Second sentence, you claim the FDA uses "improper procedures. You spin it both ways. - quote - > > And since WHEN does LASIK improve vision? I doubt that NearSighted is a real prospective patient anyway, and is more likely a Los Angeles LASIK surgeon. |

| By the way, a 'good LASIK surgeon' is kind of an oxymoron. If the surgeon were good in any sense of the word, he would NOT be doing LASIK. |

What about procedures, such as LASIK that received FDA approval using> would want to know about it. improper procedures on the part of the FDA and the the surgeons who were responsible for the study? And since WHEN does LASIK improve vision? LASIK may help you function without glasses for some period of time, but you take a big hit on visual quality and eye health. LASIK does NOT improve visual quality. Your best possible vision is with glasses or contacts - not LASIK. |

Do you want the very best technology, or the very best surgeon, or> very best lasik surgeon available, regardless of price. > Can someone please suggest how to proceed? > Thanks in advance. both? The U.S. does not have the best technology available in the world today. We will hopefully have access to better lasers and topographers, maybe as soon as sometime in the next year or two. I'd wait, and I wouldn't have anything to do with a LASIK flap. You might want to make appointments with several surgeons, including James Salz, MD, who is probably the most conservative top surgeon in Los Angeles. He will be very honest with you about whether or not you are a good candidate, given that you are "very nearsighted". |
