Dear Ms. McConn:

I wish to bring to your attention questionable activities involving an
individual by the name of Glenn Hagele, and his home-based California
business (USAEYES / CRSQA), from which he dispenses medical advice to
residents of North Carolina over the internet. Glenn Hagele is a non-
physician with no academic credentials beyond that of a high-school
diploma.1 He claims to operate a "Patient Advocacy" organization which
purportedly identifies the "best" laser eye surgeons in each state of
the country, including North Carolina. Glenn Hagele also identifies
himself with a user name of "LasikExpert" on his bulletin board at
www.usaeyes.org/ask-lasik-expert/ where he liberally dispenses medical
advice, even though he has no medical credentials.2

I have published documents regarding this questionable individual and
his organization at www.usaeyes.info and www.lasikfraud.com/news.
Among the documents I have published include the following:

Court documents filed by the District Attorney of Sacramento to place
liens on his property for his failure to pay child support. This
document shows that his home address is the same as the USAEYES /
CRSQA business address (8543 Everglade Drive, Sacramento, CA).

Court documents filed by the State of California and IRS to place
liens on his property for his failure to pay taxes. This document
shows that his home address is the same as the USAEYES / CRSQA
business address (8543 Everglade Drive, Sacramento, CA).

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy filed by Glenn Hagele in which he discharged
about $430,000 in debt to about 50 creditors. This document also
shows that his home address is the same the USAEYES / CRSQA business
address (8543 Everglade Drive, Sacramento, CA).

Recently Glenn Hagele has issued a multitude of press releases
describing how the Attorney General's office is purportedly working to
suppress these public documents from public view, even though they
were filed in a California court. For example, Glenn Hagele has
published the following statements:

On Monday April 23, I met with staff of the North Carolina Attorney
General Roy Cooper who agreed to move to limit public access to
private information publicized at any website controlled by Lauranell
Nell" Burch, a resident of North Carolina.3

and

Lauranell "Nell" Burch HAS publicized my personal identity including
Social Security number, driver's license number, bank account numbers,
credit card numbers, and even samples of my signature on her website.
She recently received a notice to "cease and desist" from the Attorney
General of North Carolina, where she lives.4

Glenn Hagele also published a letter you sent to Lauranell Bunch
(sic), in which you stated that "you can redact the personal and
financial information before republishing this information on your
website" and "Please provide a written confirmation that you have
removed and redacted this information from public viewing on your
website within the next ten (10) business days".

If Glenn Hagele's statements are accurate, and it is your intention to
prosecute individuals who publish public documents, I request that you
immediately begin prosecution of Glenn Hagele for his threats to
publish Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers of lasik
patients and relatives of lasik patients, including some who reside in
North Carolina. Here are quotations of various threats that he has
published on his web site:

The personal identity information for Brent Hanson, including name,
address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license
number, etc., and similar information about known associates will be

The personal identity information for Sandra Keller (aka Sandy Keller,
Sandra J. Terzis, Sandra J. Dean) including name, address, date of
birth, Social Security number, driver's license number, etc., and
similar information about known associates will be published here...7

The personal identity information for Richard Zickefoose, including
name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license
number, etc., and similar information about known associates will be
published here...8

The personal identity information for Paula Cofer, including name,
address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license
number, etc., and similar information about known associates will be
published here...9

The personal identity information for Elvira Galindo, including name,
address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license
number, etc., and similar information about known associates will be
published here...10

The personal identity information for Dominic Morgan, including name,
address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license
number, etc., and similar information about known associates will be
published here...11

The personal identity information for Dean Kantis, including name,
address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license
number, etc., and similar information about known associates will be
published here...12

I also request that you halt his practice of dispensing unqualified
medical advice as a "Lasik Expert" over the internet to residents of
North Carolina, in spite of the fact that he has no academic or
medical qualifications beyond a high school diploma.13
