| He'll receive the treatment that best SUITS him??? As if the patients who are legally BLIND from LASIK received the treatment that SUITED them? Carlos, before you risk your only pair of eyes on a permanent and elective surgery, do your research. Please read The LASIK Report at http://www.thelasikreport.com and also read at LasikFlap.com forum at http://www.lasikflap.com/forum. You should know that the LASIK flap never heals to restore normal corneal integrity and that corneal strength and corneal nerves are forever compromised by any corneal refractive surgery. Please be aware that later in life your liklihood of having glaucoma diagnosed should you develop it before you have visual field loss, AND the success of your cataract surgery may be riding on your decision whether or not to have surgery. An eye that has never had corneal refractive surgery is a healthier eye. What if your surgery is a success but your eyes are so dry from surgically-induced nerve damage that you can't live a normal life? Would you like to run around in moisture seal goggles instead of glasses? Now THERE's a look! In my opinion there is no such thing as a 'good LASIK surgeons' - if they were truly 'good' surgeons they would not be performing LASIK. There is enough information in the medical literature about serious flaws in the LASIK procedure to prevent any conscientous physician from performing LASIK on healthy eyes. |

| Hi all, I am considering having laser surgery, I currently have a fairly high prescription (-4.5 right eye and -5.5 left eye). I would like to know any recommendations in the Los angeles/orange county area? I heard that some of the best doctors in this area include Dr. Kerri Assil, Dr. Boxer Wachler, Dr. Robert Maloney, Dr. James Salz and Dr. Andrew Caster (I believe they are all in the Beverly Hills area). What about Dr. Charles Manger or Dr. Robert Lingua? Are all these doctors operating pretty much on the same laser equiptment? or is there one laser machine that is better than the other for Lasik and the custom lasik? I will appreciate your advice.
