| I was never a fan of Nordan, I would rehash why. It's interesting that one of the current nuts who post here is draggin Nordan's name into the discussion. I think even less of him now. Perhaps your beef with me is that I picked on Nordan in the past and you have some affiliation with him? My surgeon knows of Nordan and he implied that Nordan is good. That might be true. Nordan's website didn't impress me at all, nor did his video of him doing surgery. He is, however, the Medical Director of TLC. His offices are in the same building, but are not part of TLC. He must get business that way too. - quote - > This is why

Manhattan is serviced by four CRSQA Certified Refractive Surgeons, plus there are additional doctors in the tri-state area who are CRSQA certified. Because this is enough to serve the patients of that marketplace who desire a CRSQA certified surgeon, we put our efforts at recruitment in markets where there is not a CRSQA Certified Refractive Surgeon. Although your doctor is not CRSQA certified, that does not mean your doctor is not a quality surgeon. It just means that this particular doctor has not sought and/or achieved our certification. This is why we have our 50 Tough Questions For Your Doctor. This allows a patient to know what to ask of ANY doctor and no need to rely on only CRSQA's certification or the certification of other organizations, such as ABES. There are about 3,000 significantly active refractive surgeons in the US with about 600 doing the majority of the surgery. CRSQA has fewer than 100 fully certified surgeons. There are a lot of areas where a CRSQA certified surgeon is not available and our time and effort is better spent recruiting in those areas than in a market where there are several certified doctors. We would gladly welcome a NYC doctor who desires to become certified, but we are not actively recruiting in NYC.
