One thing I have noticed is the title of this thread is almost straight
out of the mouth of Dr Nick Riviera, the quack doctor in the Simpsons,
who got his degree at the Hollywood Upstairs University

So it's OK to blather on with over-simplified explanations, irrelevant
personal anecdotes and outright bad advice, but only if you're polite about
it.

Thanks for clarifying that.

Yeah, but...

I'd take Dr. Grant's (and pclark's) "rude," but EDUCATED information
of yours ... all ... day ... long.

I'm going to guess that most here would, too--ESPECIALLY the newbies
who don't know that you bought a lab coat to make you feel better when
heavy women's online profiles and coin collecting didn't provide the
buzz anymore.

Ace, you're a retard. No one thinks you are a doctor. They know you're
a retard though, so rest assured.

Wow you are sure rude, especially Grant! I am not the only one that is
pointing out your lack of manners and vulgar language. Others have also
commented on it. People pay more attention to those who show their
manners. You may think I dont know much about vision but one thing is
clear, I sure know my manners

Ace is a stupid moron. I am an optometrist, and that my little Nancy
boy is my professional opinion.

P.S. When you put that sock of rice in the microwave Nancy, make sure
your head is in there as well.

dr grant

"Some of you were thinking I am a doctor because I know so much about
the eye and vision." FFS, no-one thinks this. Everyone tinks you are a
stupid little twit that needs daddy's permission to get an eye test.

Make (at least part of) this your permanent signature and I'll be very
happy.

I always tell people that I'm not a doctor. That way, I never have to
worry if everybody happened to find that one post from May 11th, at
4:54pm that I wrote.....

Ace, have you tried periocular warming for your accommodative excess?

OR: http://tinyurl.com/obpyd

All you need is to buy or make a rice (or corn) bag. You can put a
couple of cups of uncooked rice in a sock if you want the easy way.

Microwave the sock until it's warm (NOT HOT--I use high power for
about 2 minutes), then put the warm rice bag over your closed eyes for
ten minutes.

Check your vision before and after.

You can buy them, too. Something like this:

Default Hello everyone! I am not a doctor.

Some of you were thinking I am a doctor because I know so much about
the eye and vision. Well just to clear up the confusion, I am not a
doctor nor have I ever claimed to be one. I like reading and
researching, mostly because I have vision problems on my own and its
something I can relate well with. Many of you have similar or identical
vision problems as me. What I say is my own opinion and how it relates
to me and my research. Take with a grain of salt what anyone on the
internet says. When in doubt, seek a real doctor in person. You can
look to the internet for opinions/advice but get your facts by visiting
a doctor in person.
