| You have actually dianosed yourself. If covering one eye or wearing one contact lens eliminates the headaches, then by definition it must be a binocular vision problem. You just need someone who can determine the type of binocular vision problem, and how best to go about treating it. Nearly half the tests I do involve tests for binocular vision. You might consult either an (a) optometrist, or (b) strabismologist. The latter is a medical person who does eye muscle surgery. The former will use prisms, lenses, or exercises. | It may be a binocular vision problem. Not sure which country you are in but if you could consult an optometrist rather than an eye doctor then you could have some more detailed binocular vision measurements done (phorias and others). If you can find someone who is experienced in testing children's eyes this is often a good way to find someone who knows about binocular vision problems. | No, he didn't. However two years ago I was thinking in Lasik and got some test to decide if I was suitable for the surgery. I think one of the test was a field vision assessment. Rafa |
