| Are there a number of reasons why it might occur? Also I don’t consider my prescription particularly high. Are you suggesting that I should wear my glasses all the time to prevent the pain in my eye happening at all, and is it usual for someone with this level of prescription to wear it all the time, or just as a remedial measure when I get the discomfort? Thanks -- Message posted via http://www.medkb.com |

| Dr Frank thanks for your reply. I appreciate what you suggest as solution but what I had hoped I might get from this forum is an understanding of what might cause it. Sorry to keep coming back with extra questions but I’d value your opinion. Thanks. Esme -- Message posted via http://www.medkb.com |

So yes, obviously it will (does) go away with wearing your glasses. Don't mean to be flippant but to eliminate your problem just keep your glasses on. frank |

Wear your glasses. uncorrected state which is causing the asthenopia. Accommodation as the cause would be likely ONLY if the person is hyperopic and not wearing the glasses. frank |

Wear your glasses. +++++++++++++ Reply to the list as I do not publish an email address to USENET. This practice has cut my spam by more than 95%. Of course, I did have to abandon a perfectly good email account... |
