Default where to find those trial lenses

Greetings,

Those sets of trial lenses and frames..... I want one. I think that if
I played around with them for half an hour, the mystery of my
distance/astigmatism correction would be solved. (Or possibly not; but
at least I'd find out.)

Any suggestions on where to obtain? What size to get (I guess they
come in 24 and 38 mm?). Anybody on here want to sell me theirs (or
maybe loan me a subset of their lenses for a fee)? Know where best to
look for used ones?
I called the Indiana University optometry school, but they could only
refer me to various manufacturers. I thought I'd check here first for
recommendations on what to get and where to find it.

Thanks!!

cheers,
Liz D.

Have you actually read this book? I didn't think so.

One typo is an error. Two means you don't know what word you're looking
for.

PREception = precept = rule of personal conduct.

Now *I* would call that a Freudian slip. ;-)

Dear Judy,

Accurate preception of the dynamic nature of the
fundamental eye is a scientific issue -- not a medical issue.

And that truly is an issue of "trained" preception.

And that is the issue that is truly addressed
by, "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions".

Best,

Otis

The site Otis sent you to is a summary of research about
emmetropization. I thought you were looking for perceptual links?

Try searching psychological research data bases, perception is more a
psych research subject than a vision science research topic.

Dear Ola,

Please disregard Otis's postings. He is not in the medical profession and
not in any position to give medical advise.

Thanks!

Dear Ola,

Here is a site that will help you visualize the effect that
a plus and minus lens have on the optical length of the
natural eye:

http://vision.berkeley.edu/wildsoet/myopiaprimer.html

And many other issues related to the natural eye's
dynamic behavior.

Enjoy,

Otis
